Now that I’ve finished writing my thesis I have a little bit more spare time on my hands especially as I don’t really have any out of the ordinary adventures planned. I figured that this would be the perfect opportunity to get back into the habit of blogging regularly so I have decided to take up the Blogging U: Everyday Inspiration course. So consider this your warning that a whole heap of posts will be coming your way!
The first days prompt is all about why you write.
I write simply because I enjoy it. It’s a way to express myself that sometimes can be easier than actually talking, it’s a way to organise all those jumbled up thoughts in my head, its a way to explain what was going through my head when I took a particular photograph.
Writing, I guess is a way for me to record my adventures, my journey in something as well as photos so that later on it is easier to recall those feelings and emotions and thoughts that were rushing through my head at that specific point in time when so often memories are seen through rose-tinted glasses. I mean there’s a reason why my mum has a different perception of how ill I was when I had pneumonia to me, or why you only ever remember the best bits of a trip or a night out. I guess that’s why it is never the same the second time around right?
I suppose you could say I write so I can read which makes total sense as the two go hand in hand with each other. I write for me, but it is the loveliest feeling when someone else takes the time to read your work and they enjoy it so I guess I kind of write for you guys as well!
I want to write to share my adventures with you guys but not just my trips away, I want to show you how there is adventure in everyday life. From a ride on the bus to grocery shopping even the most mundane of things were an adventure once so lets try and rekindle that magic!
Until next time keep adventuring!
