Yes I know it has been a while but life just got in the way for a while as it sometimes can do. I have been meaning to catch up with you all but I guess I have just been making excuses to not sit down and and write about all the post ideas that randomly pop into my head. Does this happen to anyone else? I seem to get ideas about things to write about when I don’t have the opportunity to write about them and then when I finally do, I have either forgotten on I don’t feel the post is relevant. then before I know it I haven’t posted anything for weeks and weeks!
However, we are a week into 2017 now so I figured it was about time I rekindled this habit although I’m in no way promising that there will be a new post every day. I’m afraid the writing up of my thesis just prevents this from occurring – i guess some days I’m just all written out!
I do however intend to post a minimum of once a week, even if it’s just a ‘hey i’ve been doing this this week’ kind of post and now I have told you all it is far more likely to happen.
This isn’t a resolution though. I don’t do those. Instead it’s part of my aims and goals for this year. You see back when I was swimming I was always making goals so it’s something I’m way more familiar with (and probably quite good at) so I have decided to resurrect that process and hopefully it will mean this year will be a whole lot better than last year.
One of my main other goals includes finishing my thesis and graduating but I also have some fitness-y goals and some career and job ones too. You can see all of this years goals here because sharing them with you will hopefully make it more likely I will achieve them and maybe inspire someone else to reach their own goals too!
