Pure Bliss

Pure Bliss

What is your idea of bliss? Is it an image of your family, laughing at the dinner table? A state of total relaxation, while lying on the beach? Your latest painting, drying on the canvas?

Ah bliss. For me it has to be those days when you have nothing to do and can just do whatever your heart wants to do – which for me is usually nothing! Whether it’s on a beach or on campsite in the middle of nowhere or even snuggled up in your own bed watching a film/tv series or reading a book.

So in the fear of just bombarding you guys with another picture of my bed, I have dug out a photo from my North American adventures a couple of years ago.

The view of Hanauma Bay from my ‘beach sunbed’
Hanauma Bay and its coral from the cliffs above before we descended to the beach flowing seamlessly into the Pacific

These photos were taken at Hanauma Bay, O’ahu, Hawaii. It is a State Park but it is basically a beach in a cove that has coral and the related sealife just meters from the shoreline. I was lucky enough to spend an afternoon here just chilling out lying on the beach, not wanting to be anywhere else – pure bliss
